Robert Lee Morrison's Obituary
Funeral services for Robert Lee Morrison, 80, of Longview, will be held at 10 AM Monday, May 21, 2012 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Rev. Ben Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Morrison passed away Friday afternoon in a local nursing home. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Robert was born on June 22, 1931 in Merryville, LA to Henry and Mattie Morrison. He proudly served his country in the US Army. Mr. Morrison worked as a parts man for John Deere for many years and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rutha Lee Morrison in 2009; his parents; his son, Roger Morrison; and his granddaughter, Stephanie Blair.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Robert Morrison, JR; daughter, Cathy Blair; sisters, Ruth Seals and Helen Wilson; brother Henry Morrison and Herbert Morrison; grandchildren, Christy Morrison, Adam Blair, and Jason Morrison; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Kamden, Kylin, Hanna, Trinyti, Jada Lee, and Tara Lynn; and great great grandson, Xaden.
