Robert Hudson Lawrence's Obituary
Services for Robert Lawrence, 74, will be held at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 2pm. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the Funeral Home. Robert went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 11, 2016 surrounded by his family.
Robert was born on April 28, 1942 in Carthage, TX, to parents Edward and Marie Lawrence. Shortly after High School he found and married the love of his life, Sue Carol Mink, and was soon gifted with two children. Robert loved spending time with his family; taking them fishing, hunting and camping; treasuring every moment that he had with them. In addition to loving his family, Robert loved the Lord. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Judson for many years and served his congregation as the Sunday School Superintendent. He retired from Marathon LeTourneau Company where he was employed for 47 years.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marie; as well as his brother, James Edward Lawrence. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 54 years, Sue Carol Lawrence; daughter, Denise Clark and husband Ralph; son, Rodney Lawrence and wife Jeanie; grandchildren, Jacob and Robert Crawford, Cadie Lawrence, and Heather Wilburn; sisters, Alice Boren and Pam Westbrook. Robert is also remembered by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
