Robert L. Van Meter's Obituary
Funeral services for Robert L. "Bobby" Van Meter, 62, of Longview, will be 12 Noon Saturday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Jay Van Zandt officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery.
Mr. VanMeter passed away Thursday, June 30, at Beacon Hospices Margaret's House.
A native of Longview, Texas, he was born October 15, 1948 to Harold and Winnie Roe VanMeter. He was a machinist by trade, having worked for Crosby-Lebus Manufacturing for 31 years and served his country in the US Navy.
Those left to cherish his memory are a son: Wesley Van Meter of Longview, daughter: Charlotte Hampton and husband John of White Oak, brother: Jerry Van Meter and wife Susan of Lake Cherokee and grandchildren: Logan Leonard, Ellynie Hampton, Victoria Van Meter, Aiden Van Meter and Aubrie Van Meter, nephews: Brandon Phillips and Kevin and Sarah Van Meter and Nieces: Emily Van Meter and Kathryn Van Meter.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 1, from 6 to 8 PM.
