Robert L. Hachtel's Obituary
Services for Robert Hachtel, 80, of Longview, will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Chruch at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2012 with the Rev. Brian Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Harvard, Nebraska at a later date. Arrangements and cremation by Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Hachtel passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 in Longview.
Mr. Hachtel was born on March 22, 1931, in Hastings, Nebraska and grew up on the family farm in Harvard, Nebraska. He served our country in the United States Army in Germany. He retired from Kansas-Nebraska Natural Gas Co., Inc. Western Gas. He was a devoted husband and father. He loved his family and friends, never meeting a stranger and most happy when he was doing for others. He was a devoted Christian and proud member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mr. Hachtel was preceded in death by his wife, Retta Hachtel and sister Shirley.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debra & David Jolly of Longview; son, Darren Hachtel of Italy, TX; grandsons, Zachary Myers and Dawson Hachtel; two sisters, two brothers and numerous other family.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 3470 Gilmer Road, Longview, TX 75604.
