Robert Eugene Lester's Obituary
Funeral services for Robert Eugene Lester, 82, of Longview, will be 10 AM Tuesday,
September 7, 2004 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd., with Pastor Tom Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery.
Mr. Lester was born April 9, 1922 in Ranger, Texas to Albert and Harriet Lester.
He passed away Friday, September 3, 2004 at a local medical center.
Robert was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church, he was a long-time deacon in several churches, a school administrator for the Banquete Independent School District and served his country in the US Army during World War II.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday afternoon from 3-5 PM.
Mr. Lester is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Thomas Albert of Longview and Betty Lynn Lovin and husband, Jimmy, of Conroe. Three grandchildren also survive;
Christopher Lester of Corpus Christi, April Lynn and Jody Harmeier of Magnolia, TX
and their son, Bryce, Amee Lynn Cain of Magnolia, TX and her son, Chad.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to the missionary fund of your choice.
