Robert Eddleman
A time of visitation and fellowship will be held for Robert Eddleman at Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Monday, July 5, 2021 from 6:00pm-8:00 pm. Mr. Eddleman passed away on June 22, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Robert Eddleman was born on July 3, 1947 in Longview, TX. to parents Porter Lee and Christine Reese Eddleman. Robert served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Wartime Veteran. He was assigned to Brown Water Navy with multiple tours.
He worked for many years at Covington Body and Frame until he went to work for himself as the owner and operator of Back-and-Forth Drive Away where he delivered travel trailers all over the US. What was most important to Robert was his family; he volunteered as the coach of numerous softball and soccer teams, supporting his girls in all of the sports they loved.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, as well as a sister, Virginia Bowen. Those left to cherish their memories of Robert include his wife, Sandra J. Eddleman; daughters Elizabeth Stephens and her husband Joseph, Heather Eddleman & Ryan Welch, and Hillory Boyd with her husband Jeff.; grandchildren Nathan Eddleman, Gabrielle Stephens, Cayna Stephens, and Lily Eddleman, Bryson and Nick Boyd; great-grandchildren Liam Stephens, Theodore Eddleman and Jaxson Thibodaux. Robert will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
