Robert (Bob) Lee Collins
Visitation for Robert Lee Collins of Longview will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 6-8pm at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Robert Lee Collins, lovingly known as "Bob", was born on August 14, 1938 in Gladewater, TX to the late Jack and Jerry Collins and passed away on Saturday November 24, 2018.
Bob is preceded by his wife Vicky Collins, his brother Tom Collins, his son Norris Collins, and son-in-law Chris Beason.
He is survived by his brother Dale Collins and wife Sybil; brother- Jack Collins and wife Carolyn; daughter- Linda Beason; daughter- Paula Collins; son- James Collins and wife Dawn. He loved being a Papa to his grandchildren Kirsten, Jacob, Kelsey, Kristina, Alicia, Troy, Ashley, and Autumn. One of his greatest joys in life was being a Big Papa to his 11 great-grandchildren. Bob had many nephews and nieces that he loved dearly and his life would not have been the same without the great friendships he developed throughout his life- especially his great pals, Bud and Byron.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at Christus Good Shepherd for the wonderful care during his final days. For anyone who has kept Bob in their thoughts and prayers, the family thanks you and greatly appreciates all the love and support.
