Robert “Bob” L. Bouchard, Jr.
Robert “Bob” L. Bouchard, Jr., of Gilmer, passed away December 10, 2017 at the age of 66. He was born October 16, 1951 in Nashville, TN to Robert Louis Bouchard, Sr. and Barbara Louise Anderson Bouchard. Bob graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with Masters Degree’s in Urban Planning and Clinical Psychology. He formerly worked for Sabine Valley as a substance abuse counselor and was retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. Bob married Carol, the love of his life on April 23, 1994 and they enjoyed 23 years together. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time Carol. He also enjoyed his 3 canine companions, Midnight, Button and Daisy.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carol and his parents Bob and Barbara, and brother-in-law, Bruce Walker.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, David Bouchard; daughter, Katie Bouchard; step children, Rick Wood, Debbie Sloan and husband Keith, Jeff Wood and wife Darla and Brian Wood and wife Ericka; sisters, Theresa Walker and Yvone Bouchard.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
