Dad called tonight and shared the news and needless to say, I'm terribly saddened.
Though I haven't seen Robert in several years, I have many fond memories of us as kids playing often, family times at the lake, digging worms in his dad's beds then fishing... The news of his passing has left me numb. I can't begin to imagine what Dorothy, Rosa and his son must be experiencing at this time.
Time nor distance has erased the special place I have in my heart for you guys. My prayers are with you.

I worked one summer with Robert when he was working at the old Gibson's Discount Center back in 1977. I always liked him and then run across him by chance several years later and we exhachanged war stories from that job. Robert was a very intelligent person and a good friend. Robert was a computer science student of mine about 8 years ago, and I really enjoyed having him in my classes. Intelligent, creative, questioning - he added much to the environment of the classroom.
He has been on several of my email lists for the past few years. He was always quick to make comments and observations on the human condition. He will be missed.
