Rita Lock Sullivan's Obituary
LONGVIEW – Services for Rita Sullivan will be held at 10am on Tuesday, May 2 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Longview TX under the direction of Fthr. Mark Kusmirek. Friends are asked to come for a time of gathering and visitation at Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Monday from 6-8pm with a Rosary beginning at 7pm. Rita went to be with the Lord in the early hours of Friday morning at her home in Longview TX.
Rita was born in Germany on January 31, 1940 to parents Julius and Agnes Lock. She found and fell in love with Billie Sullivan and was soon married and moved to the United States knowing little English. Rita was a blessing to the Sullivan household and made their house a home, becoming an integral part of the family as a dedicated spouse and mother.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband Billie Wayne Sullivan; son William A. Sullivan; and a sister, Charlotte Lock. Those left to cherish their memory of Rita include her daughters Bobbie Joyce Knudsen and her husband John of Orange Park, FL, Rita Kay Banks and her husband Tommy of Hamlet, NC, and Betty Louise Sullivan of Carnegie, OK; sons Ralf Billie Sullivan and wife Barbara of Clarksville, GA, and Dadliff Sullivan of Germany; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchldren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
