Rita Brice's Obituary
Rita Brice age 83 of Longview passed away September 20, 2016. She was born June 16, 1933 in East Mountain, TX to Archie and Vennie Shelton. Growing up Rita attended local schools in East Mountain. She enjoyed gardening, was an excellent cook, dearly loved her family especially her grand and great grandchildren. Rita enjoyed traveling abroad. She was a long-time faithful member of the East Mountain Church of Christ and devoted to her church family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Martha Sue Parsons, sons Mark and Joel Brice; four grandchildren Robin Russo and her husband Todd, Amber Hill and her husband Ethan, Dan Matney and Todd Brice; three great-grandchildren Hunter, Colby and Jace McDaniel; two brothers Milburn and Junior Shelton and a sister, Violet Beaty.
Rita’s dear husband, Wallace Brice, sons Rodney and James Brice; brothers, Clyde, James and Elwin Shelton and W. T. Stone, her sisters Evelyn Wharton, Francis Holland and Juanita Keyworth all precede her in passing.
Funeral services will be 2pm, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Interment will follow services at Lakeview Memorial Park. Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation at the funeral home Friday, September 23, 2016 from 6pm-8pm. Arrangements are under the care of Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
