Joyce Crane Community,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of a respected and longtime employee of Joyce Crane, Ricky Potts.
I had the pleasure of working with Ricky since Joyce Crane first began in 1985 and witnessed his faithful service to our company for over 30 years. Beginning as a field superintendent, he travelled the country on jobs from California to Texas. After moving to management, he held a number of critical positions over the years, including financial administrator, payroll, time keeping, billing, permits, and registration of equipment, among others, and was instrumental to the success of Joyce Crane.
Ricky was born and raised in Monahans, Texas, and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid fisherman, was sponsored by Skeeter Boats, and competed in a variety of fishing tournaments, an aspect of his life that always impressed me.
Ricky was one of a kind and truly part of the Joyce Crane family. It was an honor to know and work beside him for so many years. He will be greatly missed.
Services honoring the life of Ricky Potts will be this weekend at Radar Funeral Home at 1617 Judson Road in Longview. Services will begin with the viewing on Sunday, March 4, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Chapel Service will take place the following day, Monday, March 5, at 10:00 a.m. with the graveside service immediately to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Rosewood Park, 1884 FM 1844.
All of our thoughts and prayers are with Ricky’s family as they grieve the loss of truly remarkable man.
Warmest Regards,
Joe Bob Joyce
