I was immediately drawn to Rick when he came to my office wearing his fishing club jacket. When I learned he ran the warehouse at Skeeter I was really impressed! My admiration only grew as I experienced his kindness towards me taking me fishing, his love for his wife and children, his love for his country through his military service, and his love for Christ through his service to the church and his fellow veterans. When I told my adult son a few days ago that Rick was ill I asked him if he remembered when he was a young boy and Rick took us fishing and gave him a pocket angel. My son pulled out his wallet and put that pocket angel on the table. Imagine all the people who will give testimony of how Rick Homer influenced their lives in heaven!
