Rickey Turner's Obituary
Rickey Turner. was born March 5, 1963, to the parentage of Pauline Turner-Crawford and Gene Crawford in Henderson, TX. He was what some may call an “Army Brat” or” Military Kid” and attended schools all over the world. He graduated from Mannhiem High School in Mannhiem, Germany where he was an all-around star athlete.
Rickey served 1 tour in the US Army, and once that journey ended, he joined the Henderson Police Department and retired after 19 years of dedicated service. He took pride in his work so much that he then became the Municipal court judge for the city of Henderson over the next 10 years. He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Virgie and Elzie Williams; Paternal grandfather Irby Crawford; 2 sisters Verlisha Williams, and Carolyn Moody; 1 grandchild Detrick Curry.
Rickey Turner leaves to cherish his memory 1 grandmother Clara Crawford, mother Pauline Turner-Crawford; father Gene Crawford; 1 very special aunt Dorothy Sheppard; 2 brothers Mark Williams (Tiffany), James Nix (Denise); 1 daughter Marcia Turner; 2 sons Da’Mon Turner (Jashara), and Corbin Turner. 1 bonus daughter Melony McCoy; 2 granddaughters Detra Curry and Madisyn Turner; 2 grandsons Jace and Jax Turner; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and other close relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Rickey will be held at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson on Saturday, January 4 at 11 am with a burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held the night before at the funeral home between 6 and 8 pm.
