Richard Taylor Williams SR.'s Obituary
Richard Dick Taylor Williams Sr., 81, of Bedford, NY and Bluffton, SC, passed away April 9, 2012.
Interment of ashes will be at Grace Hill Cemetery, 11AM, Friday, May 25.
Dick is survived by his wife of 55 years, Julianne Lay Williams; by his sons Richard, Jr and wife Terri; and David Lay Williams and wife Jen, daughter Sheryl Lynn Williams; and by three grandsons Paul, Matthew, and Benjamin.
Dick was the son of Edwin Taylor Williams and Arline Little Williams and son-in-law of Roy and Julia Merle Morgan Lay. Julia Merle was born and raised in Longview. The Lays were married on Dec. 17, 1932 at the First Christian Church in Longview.
Dick was always glad to be part of the McHaney-Morgan clan, early settlers of Longview, and he always enjoyed visits to Longview.
