I will always remember how enjoyable it was to visit with Mr. Spencer and share some stories about fishing!! We had the opportunity to go pond fishing a few times and it always came up about how the "big one" got away!!
I also enjoyed serving with him on various committees and had utmost respect of his knowledge and abilities!
Richard will be truly missed!

I count it a privilege to have known Richard Spencer and will always remember his kind words and wonderful smile. Never was there a time I was around him that I didn't feel better because of it. He just had a positive effect on everyone he knew. May God bless and comfort his family in this time of loss.

I was privileged to know and work with Richard for many years at Longview Bank and Trust. He was not only a Director, but a friend also. He will be sorely missed, as he made friends everywhere and also has a wonderful family to enjoy countless memories. My prayers are with your family.

I was blessed to know Mr.Richard through my friendship with Janie. Mr. Richard was a good Christian man and his love for God reflected through his love for his family. I remeber he would pop in to Janie's and spend time with them and see how they were. He was always greeted with hugs and affection by Janie's children . He was generous and loving to all of his children and grandchildren . He always took time to go to basketball games, and go to school programs, stop by and take them to church or where ever they needed to go, He loved spending family time at the lake..Mr Richard loved his family unconditionally. I know he was blessed to meet his great grandchildren too. I know he will be missed but I know his love and all the memories they shared will never be forgotten.
