Richard Glenn Houston's Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Richard Glenn Houston , age 66, of Henderson will be held Saturday May 19, 2007 at 10:30AM in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson with the Rev. Jim Turley officiating, Burial will follow in the Neeley Cemetery.
Mr. Houston passed away Tuesday night in a Tyler Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born September 4, 1940, and was raised in the close knit community of Compton. He was an engineer having last worked for Winston Royal Guard in White Oak. Mr. Houston was once choir leader for the church in Compton . He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Longview where he was a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin Aaron and Lessie Morine Houston.
He is survived by his wife of more than 40 years Jo Juanna Houston of Henderson, son Paul David and wife Nicole Michelle Houston of Henderson, 2 daughters Jenee? Lynne Houstn of Henderson, and Rhonda Leigh Houston of Henderson, two beloved grandchildren Suzanna Kate Houston , and Benjamin Aaron Houston both of Henderson. Numerous other relatives and dear friends.
Glenn will be remembered for his smile, his kindness and his loving sprit. He filled our lives with joy. We will forever be grateful to have known and loved him and to know how much he loved us.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Nichols, Blake Pirtle, Donald Reynolds, Jimmy Skinner, Tommy Strong, and Wesley Virden.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Basil Hill, Scooter Phillips, and Alton Stone
The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 6pm ? 8pm Friday at the funeral home.
