Richard "Dale" Brookshire's Obituary
Services for Richard “Dale” Brookshire, 66, of Longview will be held at 12:00
PM, Saturday, September 23, 2023, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 6:00 – 7:30 PM,
Friday, September 22, 2023. Mr. Brookshire passed away on Monday,
September 18, 2023, at Christus Medical Center.
Dale was born on February 18, 1957, in Gilmer, Texas, to the late John and
Martha Brookshire. He attended Longview High School where he went on to
be an equipment operator in the oil field/pipeline industry for 40 plus years.
Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his
grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Janet Chitwood Brookshire; daughters
Jennifer Clark of Tatum, Lisa and Shawn Wick of Diana, and Leanne and
Keith Karlen of Winona; 8 grandchildren, Shane, Kylie, Tyler, Jonathan,
Beaux, Kendall, Addison and Ryker; his siblings, Joe Brookshire (Becky) and
Jan Mills (Rick) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
