Richard Allen Dykhuizen's Obituary
Funeral services for Richard Allen Dykhuizen, 68, of Longview were held at 10 AM Thursday, September 5, 2002, at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd., with Father Denzel Vithanage, S.S.S. as officiant. Mr. Dykhuizen will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia on October 10, 2002 at 2 PM.
Richard was born May 25, 1934 in Minneapolis, MN to Henry and Nell Dykhuizen, was a member of the Lutheran Church. He was very proud of his Dutch heritage and was glad to tell people that his last name means "house on the dike". Richard was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of faithful service to his country.
Mr. Dykhuizen died Friday, August 23, 2002 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Diane M.RemingtonDykhuizen of Longview; daughter, Sandra L. Torok of Aurora, Colorado; grandchildren, Josh and Jessie; brother, Robert H. Dykhuizen of Minnesota and sister; Janice C. Fehling, also of Minnesota and several nieces and nephews.
