Richard Adams' Obituary
Richard Adams, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on July 21st in Longview, Texas. Born on September 3, 1950, in Houston, Texas, Richard led a life marked by dedication, compassion, and a love for the simple joys.
After graduating from Katy High School, Richard continued his education at Southwest Texas State. He then honorably served his country in the Army before embarking on a rewarding 39-year career with Southwestern Bell/AT&T.
Richard's heart was always fullest at home with his beloved wife of 49 years, Wanda Adams. They were blessed with a loving family, including their son and daughter-in-law, Jesse and April Adams of Nacogdoches, their daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Shawn Ormes of White Oak, and their cherished grandsons, Harrison, Caleb, Skeet, and Stihl.
Richard is lovingly remembered by his brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Kathy Adams of Houston and along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Cheryl Sanchez and Donna Blythe. His gentle presence and warm smile will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Richard’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and love for his family will continue to live on through the stories told and the lives he touched. He will be remembered as a pillar of strength, a beacon of joy, and a true friend to many. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but they take comfort in knowing that his spirit will forever be a guiding light in their lives.
As we say goodbye to Richard Adams, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. His journey on earth has ended, but his memory will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Radar Funeral Home.
Service will be Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 2 p.m.
