R. F. Smith's Obituary
Graveside services for F. R. Smith, 93, of Longview will be 2:30 PM Thursday at the Memory Park Mausoleum with Rev. Michael C. Macey officiating. Burial will follow under direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Born November 28, 1910 in Oklahoma he died Sunday evening, January 11, 2004 in a local nursing home. He was a retired owner of several liquor stores in Longview, Kilgore and Gladewater. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Smith in 2002. He is survived by his grandsons and their wives, David and Rebecca Houston of Longview, Dr. Brew and Mary Lou Houston of Austin and Robert Houston of Dallas and by several great grandchildren.
The family asks that memorials be made to Trinity School of Texas, 215 Teague St., Longview, TX 75601.
