Renee Settle Schubiger's Obituary
Renee Settle Schubiger age 92 passed away peacefully June 24, 2019 in Longview Texas after an illness with Alzheimer's and dementia. She was born in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, February 16, 1927, and was a graduate of Florida State University. She had been a resident of Longview since 1968 and was employed for 22 years at Good Shepherd Medical Center serving as the CEO's Administrative Assistant.
A member of Trinity Episcopal Church, she served as Chairman St. Monday's for 2 years. She served on Altar Guild for 10 years, volunteered office administration for 15 years, and recorded sermons, transcribed, printed and made such available to shut-ins and others requesting them for Fathers Macey, Rodriguez, Black, and Babb.
She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Reynolds and husband Jim of Henderson; a son, James H. Schubiger and wife Jo of Longview; two granddaughters, Samantha Reynolds and Beth Brackney; four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Damon and Gail Settle of Jacksonville, Florida.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Her ashes will be scattered in All Saints Garden at Trinity Episcopal Church. Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church of Longview, Longview Alzheimer's Association or Compass Hospice of East Texas.
