Rene' Charles Marsolan's Obituary
Rene’ Charles Marsolan went on to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 4, 2019. Rene’ lived 89 long and fruitful years. Born in New Orleans, LA and raised on a farm in Elberta, AL, he knew well the value of hard work and dedication. He was a US Navy veteran and served during the Korean War on board the USS Amberjack and USS Finback submarines. He was well-respected and sought after for his vast knowledge as a mechanical engineer, mechanic, gardener, welder, wood craftsman and all around master of many trades. Rene’ was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who was always willing to share his time and skills. Those who knew him best would agree, there was not much he could not create or fix. On most days, he could be found in his workshop restoring a Ford Mustang or out in his garden. Above all, Rene’ was a Christian who loved the Lord and throughout his life served in church as a teacher, sang in the choir and participated in numerous committees and building projects. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Orange. Rene’ is survived by his wife, Judy Nell Marsolan, son Jay Andrew Marsolan and grandchildren Jayden Christopher and Caelynn Ann Marsolan all of Longview, TX and sister Adele Stoulig of Houston, TX. Funeral services will be held at Rader Funeral Home On Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 1 p.m. with graveside service to follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery in Longview, TX.
