Rebecca Jane Wilson Chamberlain's Obituary
Services for Rebecca Jane Wilson Chamberlain, 48, of Gilmer will be 12 Noon Monday, December 22, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Donny Chamberlain officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow in Reed Cemetery in Diana. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
The Lord opened his loving arms to Rebecca Jane at 5:57 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Parkland Hospital Burn Unit in Dallas. Rebecca was transferred there on Tuesday following an explosion and fire in Longview. Becky was born on August 18, 1960 at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage Alaska to SP. AGT. Edward Hall Boyd and Frances Dry Boyd. Becky was welcomed home by her sister, Holly Ann and brother, Casey Scott, and in 1966, her sister Victoria joined the family. By the time Becky was school age, her father had retired from active duty and the Boyd children were schooled in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Waco, Texas, Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and in Longview, Texas at Pine Tree. Becky worked with Cooper Optical for 10 years, and with NCIC Communications in 2006, and then went to work for Jerry Gaston Commercial Painters in 2008. She was married to Don C. Wilson on November 26, 1983, and they were blessed with 3 precious daughters, Kaitlin, Laurin and Madalin.
On August 8, 2008, Becky and Chris Chamberlain were married in Gilmer and they honeymooned at Eureka Springs. They made their home in Gilmer with Madalin.
Becky was preceded in death by her father; her favorite Aunt Jane and Uncle Okey; and long time friend Scut Titus.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Chris and mother-in-law GiGi Chamberlain; the loves of her life, her daughters, Kaitlin, Laurin and Madalin Wilson and their father, Don Wilson; mother, Frances Boyd; sisters, Holly Horton, Victoria Jurenka; brother Casey Boyd; brother-in-law, Clay Jurenka; nieces and nephews, Ashley Stanley Carter; great nephew Caine Stanley of Kilgore, Whitney Wilson, Jesse and Kristin Boyd and Jake, Nico and Louis Jurenka; cousins, Danny and Judy Ausmus and Family, Martha Whitker and Family and Bruce and Lynn Benedict. The following friends were so close to Becky, Teresa Lea, Jo Cooper Becky's Guardian Angel Crystal Williamson, Cal Parks, Joey Starr, Bobby Williamson, Darren Turner, Walter Herring, Jim Suarez SR & JR and Luke Pennock. God blessed Becky with an abundance of love.
