Raymond Edward Padget, age 81 was born on 10/26/25 in Canada and died in Longview, Tx. 7/15/07
He is survived by 3 children, daughters, Vergie Stepahin and husband Chick of Hallsville, TX. Norma Nesheim and husband Pete of Eagan, MN.; son David Padget and wife Becky of Carson City, NV.; son-in-law Joey gray of Port Orchard, WA.; along with 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
He was the oldest of six siblings. He is survived by three brothers, Roy Padget and wife Delores of Lakeview, OR; Darwin Padget and wife Michael of Wellington CO; Dale Padget and wife Deanna of Grass Valley OR; two sisters, Florence Mautz and husband Don of Salem Or; Karilyn Story and husband Dal of Paisley, OR.
3 Step-children Gary Laursen of Bend, OR; Roberta Laursen of Medford, OR and Linda Austin of Queen Creek, AZ. and special friend Jeanne Kelly of Prineville, OR.
He was preceded in death by his wife Fran and daughter Ellen Gray.
He was raised in Lakeview, OR and was a farmer/rancher before moving to Prineville, OR where he was involved in logging and heavy equipment operation prior to retiirement. He recently moved to Longview, TX.
He served his country in WWII in the U.S. Army.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Prineville, OR.
