Raymond Andrew Fossett's Obituary
A memorial service for Raymond Andrew Fossett, 54, of Longview will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at LifeBridge Christian Center, 417 Spur 63, next to the Butcher Shop, with Pastor Tom McDainels and Mr. Fossett's nephew, Pastor David Griffin officiating. Mr. Fossett passed away Saturday at his home. Cremation arrangements are with Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Monday, from 3-5 PM at the funeral home.
Raymond was born on February 21, 1954 in West Virginia to Delbert and Pearl Fossett. He lived in Eagle Mountain, CA during childhood and teen years and ended up in the Odessa Oilfield where he worked for G.Q. Salmon and Son for 21 years. He moved to Longview in 1992 where he continued his career in the Oilfield for Basic Energy. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jean Fossett; mother and step-father, Pearl and Leo Labine; son, Shawn Fossett of Midland, TX; step-sons, Bryant Chambers of Birmingham, AL, and Chuck Chambers of Gadsden, AL; step-daughter, Jeanice Moore of Frisco, TX; 1 sister; 4 brothers; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
