A celebration of the life of Randy Newman, 53, of Longview, will be 2 PM Monday, July 21, 2008 at Oakland Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Roberson officiating. A private family service will be held at the graveside. Randy Read Obituary

Dear Suzanne, Jason, and, Gena,
I was devasted to hear about Randy's death. Having lost John, due to a lengthy illness, I can't image the loss you are feeling.
Randy legacy will live forever through Jason and Gena. I do not know them but I know they have very proud parents and grandparents.
God is an awesome God. Your new grandbaby is a testimony of how God comforts us. He has no idea what a special young man he is.
I am so fortunate to have known Randy. He always had a smile on his face and his family was always "front and center". You and he both have touched so many lives in such a wonderful way.

Where do I begin? Knowing Randy was an experience I will always cherish. From Mrs. Young in the 5th grade through High School and then beyond sharing such wonderful experiences thru Band Boosters, work, and all our class activities; Randy was always there quick with an experience or name that made us all smile. Although it's been many years since I've seen Randy, when I was informed of his passing, the news shook me to the core, and is still hard to believe.
Growing up on the same street as kids, Randy was like an older brother to many of us. Whether we were tossing the football around, or just hanging out, he was enjoyable to be around and was well liked by everyone. I'm glad to have known him.
To all of the Newman family and friends, please accept my heartfelt condolences and most sincere prayers. I share your grief at Randy's passing, but also celebrate with you his life.
