Randy Thomas
Randy Thomas was born on February 28, 1956 and passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, June 7th in Lindale, Texas.
Randy was a faithful and Christian man who was called from his earthly home much too soon but he will continue to live in our hearts and through our precious memories forever.
Randy Thomas was reared in Longview, Texas and was a graduate of Pine Tree High School and Kilgore College. He retired in December 2008 after having worked in the oil/gas industry for the last 32 years.
Randy is survived by his wife of nearly 27 years Connie Thomas. He is also survived by his loving and faithful companion Hogan.
Also left to cherish his special memories are his parents –Bill and Marie Thomas of Longview, Texas, his brother/sister-in-law Sid and Ramona Thomas of Midland, Texas and his sister/brother in law Patricia and Ron Jereb of Longview, Texas. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Mary Dwyer of Lafayette, Louisiana, brother in law/sister in law – Carl and Brenda Dwyer of Carencro, Louisiana and sister in law/brother in law
Phyllis and Michael Marks of Lafayette, Louisiana.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. JB Thomas and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Still and his father in law Alton Dwyer.
Randy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, golfing, all sports and he was an avid Texas Longhorn Fan! He was loved and respected by his family and friends and he will truly be missed by all who knew him!
The family expresses gratitude to Odyssey Hospice and Richard Simmons for the care given to Randy. Donations can be made to Odyssey Hospice of Tyler, TX.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 9th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m and Friday, June 10th from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Rader Funeral Home. Services will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview, Texas on Friday, June 10th at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Gregg Zackary officiating. Lawn entombment will follow at Rosewood Park immediately following the service.
Pallbearers will be Harold Johnson, Jim Huggins, Carl Dwyer, Harry Joe Thornhill, Jim Sterling, Jonathan Phoenix, Charles Thomas, and Rick New.
