Peppy was a great guy. I have been friends with Carol since 7th grade. Ralph has always been a good friend of mine. My husband & I lost our home in Galveston, TX due to hurricane Ike. Dear Friend Steve and other members of "Peppy's" family,
Please accept my sympathy for the loss of such a great, peppy, friendly and happy Longhorn.
Peppy was on Texas' team when I was a student at UT and when things got rough everyone would holler "Send Peppy in!!!" He would come galloping onto the field swinging his helmet and sort of flopping his hands 'midst cheers from all of us.
When I tried a criminal case against Steve here in San Antonio a few years ago I learned he was Peppy's son so I corresponded with and talked to Peppy after he had his serious accisdent.
The world is a happier place because of such a great, friendly Longhorn. "Peppy" probably is up there catching still another pass to victory!
