Ralph Cater
Ralph Cater fought a courageous battle with cancer which ended on November 25, 2001 at his home. The celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, November 30, 2001 at the Little Flock Baptist Church, 14206 FM RD 968 with the Reverend Ted White officiating under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Honoring his requests, Mr. Cater will be cremated.
Ralph was born on August 10, 1952 in Coos Bay, Oregon to Edwin and Anne Cater and lived most of his llife in Bend, Oregon. After moving to Longview in 1996, Ralph started his own handyman business, ''Triple R'' working with local real estate agents. An accomplished craftsman, Ralph took great pride in his work.
Ralph loved building and flying model airplanes. He was known to be ''Plane Crazy''. He started a remote control airplane club called ''Central Oregon Soaring Society'' before moving to Longview in 1996.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Carol Cater of Longview, daughter and son-in-law Candice and K.J. Gleason, mother and step-father, Anne and J.W. Duff of Longview, brothers and their wives, Mike and Jacque Cater of Rhome, Texas jeff and Teresa Cater of Lapine, Oregon. Mr. Cater was a member of the Little Flock Baptist Church of Longview, and served with the United States Air Force. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
