"Rae" Rayleene Jackson's Obituary
Funeral services for Rae Jackson, 77, of Longview, will be held at Noon Thursday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM.
Mrs. Jackson went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 24, in a local medical center.
She was born to Ray and Pauline Clement, February 9, 1934, in Longview. She graduated from Bowie High School where she played basketball and served as Homecoming Queen her senior year. She was active in the Republican Party of Texas and the Republican Women Association of Longview, serving as president in 1988. She also served on the Texas Judiciary Council.
Rae was married to Max Jackson for 49 years. They enjoyed dancing and entertaining friends, and loved spending time with their children and grandchildren. Rae was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Those left to cherish her memory are a son: Larry Brazil and wife Suzanne of Loveland, CO; daughter, Kim Williams and husband Roy of Longview; grandchildren: Emily Jones and husband Lucas of Vail, CO, Stefanie Brazil of Vail, CO, Jennifer Williams and Zach Williams, both of Longview; and special cousins Paula Buchanan and Ruth Thornton.
