R. B. Richmond
Graveside services for R. B. Richmond, 82, of White Oak, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Old White Oak Cemetery with the Reverend Wayne Norvell officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 in a Longview nursing facility.
Mr. Richmond was born January 31, 1930 in New Castle County, Nebraska to Ben and Mary Richmond. He had been a longtime resident of White Oak and was a self employed clock maker for 50 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and a member of the Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Alice Marie Richmond; grandsons, Roger Steven Harris, Jr. and Richmond Kinder Sandlin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Emily Harris and husband Roger of White Oak, Patti Bostick and husband Harvey and Bernadette Sandlin and husband Joe all of Mt. Pleasant, and Mark Richmond and wife Allison of Ft. Worth; brother, Duane Rodney Richmond and wife Sue of Sun Lakes, Arizona; grandchildren, Melora Harris of Yukon, OK, Andy Bostick of Denton, Toby Bostick and Roslyn Sandlin both of Mt. Pleasant, and Beau Richmond and wife Erin of Ft. Worth; and his great grandson, James Blake Ware of White Oak.
