Quincy Parker Sr.'s Obituary
Quincy Rowe Parker, Sr 88 of Longview passed away on Friday January 17, 2014 at Longview Regional Hospital.
Quincy was born Feburary 4, 1925 in Crosby Mississippi to Barney Parker Sr. and Leona Trevillion Parker. Quincy retired from Sunoco in 1985. He lived and worked all over the country as part of a Sun seismograph drilling crew.
Quincy was preceded in death by his dear wife Anita Parker; his parents Barney and Leona Parker; sister Maurice Smith; brother Wensel Parker; brother Dean Parker; brother Barney Parker; sister Louise Conroy; brother Conley. Quincy was the last of that Crosby Mississippi family.
Those left behind who will cherish all the stories and memories are his daughter Rebecca Jean Parker of Longview; his son Quincy Jr and his wife Pam of Kemah Texas; his grandson Quincy Parker III and his wife Melodie of League City; his grandson Drew Parker of San Marcos; his great grandchildren Quincy IV and Merritt of League City. He is also survived by his sister in law Ruby Parker of Moss Bluff Louisiana; a great many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who loved dearly their Uncle Quincy.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in Houston at Clear Lake Presbyterian Church on El Dorado in the next week.
