Phillip Eugene Grammer's Obituary
Phillip Eugene Grammer, 61, of Longview, Texas, passed away on November 26, 2025, at Longview Regional Hospital following a short battle with esophageal cancer, surrounded by his family and his lifelong friend Darren Burns, whose steadfast friendship and daily presence brought Phillip comfort and strength in his final days. Born on August 13, 1964, Phillip was the beloved son of the late Glen Eugene Grammer and Carol Brewer Grammer.
He is survived by his siblings Chris Grammer (and his wife Elizabeth), Tina Nichols (and her husband Scott), and Jeffery Grammer, as well as his cherished nieces and nephews: Christopher Michael Grammer Jr., Reagan Cole Schriver, Taylor Schriver Hickerson, Nicholas Reagan Grammer, Alexis Lisette Grammer, Mi’ya Grammer, and Lola Grammer.
Phillip lived a life full of character, curiosity, and conversation. Though he worked as a car salesman many years ago—a role he proudly carried with him throughout his life—he also embraced his passions as an artisan and antique collector. Phillip had a keen eye for craftsmanship and history, finding joy in the stories objects carried. He was also gifted in woodworking, creating projects that reflected both his creativity and his hands-on skill.
He was known for his love of shooting pool, often dazzling friends and family with trick shots. Phillip also had a gift for conversation; he loved to talk, share stories, and connect with others. His humor, warmth, and spirited debates—especially about his steadfast belief in Bigfoot—will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Above all, Phillip was a man of faith. His Christian values guided his life and relationships, leaving a legacy of kindness and conviction.
Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home Longview in the chapel at 1617 Judson Road at 12:00 PM, with the funeral service immediately following at 1:00 PM, on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Phillip’s life was one of passion, laughter, and faith. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
