Philip Clark McNamara's Obituary
Philip Clark McNamara passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, in Longview, Texas, he was 68 years old .He was a devoted and loving Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, a friend to many.
Philip was born on July 6, 1957, in Northridge, CA to Raymond and Evelyn McNamara. He was a 1975 graduate of Madison High School in San Diego, CA. He was the Facility Manager at UCSD for over 19 years until retirement in 2020 when he and his wife, Ana, relocated to Longview, TX.
He played the banjo with his fellow musicians in Old Poway Park, CA. He loved to build and fly model airplanes. He was a prankster and loved to laugh.
He is survived by his Mother, Evelyn McNamara of Lubbock, TX; his wife of 40 years, Ana McNamara; Daughter Nicole Cockrell Williams of Batesburg, SC; Son and Daughter in law Derek and Courtney McNamara of Denver, CO; Sister and Brother in law Gwen and Mark Wood of Lubbock, TX; Grandson Dakota Cockrell (Brett Ashley), of Lexington, SC; Granddaughter Florence McNamara of Denver, CO; and soon to be Grandson due in June.
He is preceded by his Father, Raymond McNamara.
