Peggy Louise Shillings
Peggy Louise Shillings, born Peggy Louise Reeks, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008, following a lengthy illness. Born September 4, 1947, in Longview, she graduated from Longview High School and used her life to take care of her family, home and to help others when needed. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Wife and homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy, their children, Jill and spouse Brian Tucker of Ft Worth, Kevin and spouse, Lyndsey and children, Madelyne and Allison Shillings of Waxahachie. Survivors also include her mother, Alma Morris of New London, TX, brother Jerry Reeks and spouse Glynda of Irving, TX, sister Mona Perkins and spouse Louie Hlavay of Harlingen, TX, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Omega "Pete" Reeks, bother, Ralph Reeks, and sister, Patricia Parker.
Peggy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her husband, children and grandchildren were all at her bedside at the time she was delivered to the personal care of the Lord.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in her memory to HeartsWay Hospice of Northeast Texas, 1306 Pine Tree Rd., Longview, TX 75604.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19th, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. A memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
