Boy, did Heaven get a jewel on February 20th. I have known Peggy for 40+ years and shared many memorable times with her. I had the privilege of teaching with her and calling her my friend. When I moved to Gilmer I was fortunate enough to get a classroom beside Peggy’s. She was so kind and helpful to me as I navigated a new school system. She was full of wisdom, knowledge and had a delightful sense of humor. Lots of good times and funny memories. Raising boys the same age who were also friends gave us even more adventures! I vividly remember her losing Richard and was so happy when she found love again with Jack. We lost a sweet, loving lady and she will be missed by many. Sending love and prayers to Jack and all her family.
Wow, what a super sweet lady and a great teacher. She was one of my elementary teachers and when my wife started teaching at Gilmer she was so kind and helpful to her. I know all of her boys and had the privilege of teaching Keith and Britt while they were in high school. With the impression she left on me and me teaching her sons, I was unable to repay her all she gave unto me. Prayers and Blessings to all of the family. David McQueen
