Peggy L. Hereford's Obituary
Graveside services for Mrs. Peggy L. Hooks Hereford, age 81 of Plano formerly of Henderson will be held Thursday May 8, 2008 at 2:00pm at the Welch Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Rudy officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Peggy was born March 4, 1927 in Stinnett, Texas and passed away Monday May 5, 2008 in Plano.
She married Don Hereford Sr. in 1947 and they had one son Don H. Hereford Jr. Peggy's beloved Don Sr. died on July 18, 1999 after 52 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents Roy & Opal Hooks, and sister in law Marlene Hooks.
After Don Sr. completed his military service they settled in Arlington, Texas, and then moved to Plano in 1967 when he began his career with Collins Radio Co.
Peggy did secretarial work for Burden Brothers Mechanical Co.
She is survived by her son Don of Plano, brother Jack Hooks of Henderson, nieces Tammy Hooks of Waco, Cindy Belcher of Henderson, nephews Rick Hooks of Pearland, Mark Andros of Tyler, Phil Andros of San Antonio, and her dear sister in law Billie Sissy Andros of Arlington.
Pallbearers will be Rick Hooks, Wendell Smith, Byron Deason, Lon Layton, John Brooks, and Mark Andros.
The family visitation will be from 11:30 – 1:30pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
