Peggy Jane Pinson
Funeral services for Peggy Jane Pinson, 68, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend David Reeder officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. She passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010 in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pinson was born May 1, 1941, in Casper, WY to J. C. and Donnie McWilliams, and had been a resident of Longview since 1958. She graduated from Kilgore High School in 1959. She was a cake decorator and a private sitter. Peggy was formerly employed with Winn Dixie, Skaggs Alpha Beta and Albertsons and was known as "The Cake Lady".
She loved to fish and work in her yard, which was certified as a National Wildlife Habitat and as a Texas Wildscape. It was featured in Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine.
Those left to cherish his memory are her son, William Riley Pinson, III; daughter, Pamela Jayne Pinson Bates and husband Roland; grandsons, Charles David Sypert and wife Jamie and Kevin Riley Pinson; granddaughter, Donnie Bashawn Pinson; great grandchildren, Jacee Pinson and Adrian Corona Pinson; several nieces, nephews and extended family Brenda Gay White Boles.
