P.C. Cooter Tate's Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. P.C. Cooter Tate, age 81 of Henderson will be held at 10:00am
Tuesday November 6, 2007 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. Richard Stillwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Crims Chapel Cemetery under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. Tate passed away Saturday November 3, 2007 in Waco.
He was preceded in death by his parents Prue & Ethel Gladyce Tate, and brother & sister ?in- law Rex & Judy Tate.
Cooter was born in Henderson, Texas on April 27, 1926, and was a lifetime resident of Henderson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in W.W. II in the Philippines.
When he returned home from the service he worked for R.T. Smith Welding Company as a welder and mechanic for 40 years. He was a deacon of the Trinity Baptist Church in Henderson and also served as the building superintendent for many years.
Cooter is survived by his wife of 56 years Ernestine Tate of Waco, his three children
Barbara and Carl Tate of Waco. Cheryl Rogers & husband Tim of Plano, brother & sister-in-law Milford W. Tate & wife Jean of Henderson, sister & brother in law Wanda Young and husband Bill of Longview. Grandsons Cameron & Landon Rogers of Plano, nephew Bruce Tate of Henderson
Pallbearers will be Mack Bassett, Jack Smith, David Price, Bill Poole, H.G. Turner, and
Keith Brooks
The family visitation will be from 5-7pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
