Pauline Kerr's Obituary
Pauline Kerr, 89, of Kilgore, formerly of Paris, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at her home.
Services are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, May 17, 2004, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home, Paris, Texas, with Dr. James Singleton and Reverend James Spears officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until funeral time on Monday.
A native of Atlas, Texas, she was born April 3, 1915, to Horace and Esta Walker. Her husband, Travis M. Kerr, whom she married on Dec. 22, 1934, in Hugo, OK, preceded her in death. During her lifetime she co-owned a bakery, taught music to individuals and at Powderly and Chicota schools, attended nursing school and worked in a local hospital and doctor?s office. She filled her last years reading and continuing her craftsmanship of knitting, crocheting, quilting and enjoying her relationship with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild.
Survivors include her son, Bob R. Kerr and wife Pat of Springfield, MO; daughters: Joan Boswell and husband Tommy of Kilgore, Carolyn Smith of Paris and Danita Walker and husband Kevin of Balch Springs; sisters: Mildred Gilbert of Mt Pleasant and Barbara Singleton of Denison; sister-in-law: Margie Walker Denison of Paris, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Casket bearers will be: Tony Gilbert, Johnny Walker, Shane Walker, Josh Bailey, Brett Burdette, Kevin Singleton, David Kennedy and Paul Walker.
