Paulette Blakeley's Obituary
Mary Paulette Blakeley was born on November 24, 1943, in Gilmer, Texas. She has lived in New Mexico, Gilmer and Longview Texas.
The disease of Alzheimer’s or dementia stole her from us on July 8, 2026, but she will remain in our hearts forever. It has truly been a long goodbye.
She was a mother and a granny who loved fiercely. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Pike and Suzanne Blakeley and their children Austin and his wife Neely and Carson. Her son Bret Blakeley and his son Justin. Her son and daughter in law Chad and Tammy Blakeley and his daughter Molli Rodin and her daughter Mackenzie. She is also survived by her beloved brother Sid McWhorter and her sisters Betty Doval and Kitty Robinson. She has numerous nephews and nieces throughout the world that she cherished.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Schaylon Blakeley, son Richard Blakeley, her granddaughter Sara Blakeley, her parents William & Dolly McWhorter, and bothers Tome and Preston McWhorter. There is lots of heart ache in losing a loved one early, but our hope is she is meeting them on the other side.
We want to thank Hopsice of East Texas and Kim Mullins with Heaven Sent End of Life Doula and Care Companions for excellent end of life care.
