Paula Perez Nieto's Obituary
On Monday, April 27, 2020, Paula Nieto, loving wife, mom, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away at the age of 67.
Paula was born on May 10, 1952, in Beeville, Texas, to Agapito and Aniceta Salazar. On June 1, 1987, she married Jesus Nieto after a 3 year courtship. She has 5 daughters and 3 sons.
Paula was a homemaker who was a hard worker and truly found happiness in helping others. She was a social butterfly who never met a stranger she wasn’t willing to laugh with. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and volunteered with the ladies of CWJC of Rusk County as an ESL Teacher.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ysidra Salazar Garcia, both her parents and many other siblings.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years Jesus Nieto; sister-Teresa Ponder; her children- Patricia Hernandez, Melva(Jaime) Ruiz, Joe(Samantha) Perez, Patrick(Sabrina) Perez, Gloria Luna, Veronica Rivas, Adam Rivas and Julie(Juan Carlos) Sharp-Madrid, 27 grandchildren, ten great grandkids and a large extended family.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, from 12 pm to 5pm and Thursday, April 30, 2020 from 8am to 5pm. There will be a private visitation for family only on May 1, 2020, from 8am to 9am.
Graveside service will be held at 10am at Lakewood Cemetery on May 1, 2020. Father Jayaseelanraj Lucas and Pastor Michael Curry will be officiating.
