The obituary is not totally correct: Paula Elaine Garret, was born in Champaign, IL and preceded in death by her father, Paul K. Hudson, former editor of Eta Kappa Nu's "The Bridge" and Gertrude Howard Hudson, who taught in Champaign-Urbana, IL.. Surviving is her sister, Alyssa (Stephen Stubbs) of Champaign, IL, and her husband, Larry Wayne Garrett, Henderson, Tx and her son, Evan P. Rees, Dallas, Texas. She was a Texas CPA and graduated from South Texas College of Law in Houston. Her last employment as an attorney was with Bank of America in Dallas. Paula later acquired her Texas teaching certificate from the University of Texas, Arlington, in mathematics. She taught in Dallas County and later in the Austin, Texas area.
