Paul Elbert Trant's Obituary
Paul Elbert Trant, 72 of Henderson, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 9, 2017 in Henderson after an extended, courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 21, 1945 in Liberty, Texas as the youngest child of Carlton W. and Hazel A. (Fuschak) Trant. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Paul is survived by his loving daughter Paula Hays and husband Josh of Mt. Enterprise, Sons Michael Trant and wife Melanie of Centerville,Texas Glenn Trant wife Kimberly of Decatur, Texas, brother Wheeler Trant and wife Diane, sister Carren Sparks, and husband Richard, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, numerous niece, nephews, and cousins.
Paul was a tinkerer – fascinated and inspired by all things related to leading edge technology, mechanical challenges, and complex electronics. He spent countless hours repairing CAT scanners, rebuilding Volkswagens, and soldering components to a circuit board. He was an avid student and observer of life and shared this wisdom with others as a teacher, coach, and mentor. He cherished dinning out with his daughter, conquering difficult jigsaw puzzles, and listening to gospel music. Paul was a kind person who will be missed dearly.
A graveside service will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Keith, Texas on Tuesday July 11, 2017 at 11:30am under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Trant, Mike Trant, Josh Hays, James Ray Trant, Jeremy Franco, and Tyler Trant
The family wishes a special thanks to the staff at Henderson Health and Rehab.
