Paul B. Terry
Funeral services for Paul B. Terry, 78, of Longview will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Dr. Jim Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. He passed away Saturday, October 15, in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Terry was born March 5, 1933 in Longview to Cleveland and Savanna Terry and was a lifetime resident. He was a 1951 graduate of Longview High School and attended LSU on a football scholarship. He graduated from SFA with a bachelor's degree. Mr. Terry retired as branch manager for Ridgeway, Inc. after 30 years of service. He was an avid LSU football fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He enjoyed anything to do with his grandson Zach. He was a member of the Longview Masonic Lodge #404 and the Shriners, and was a member of the First Christian Church of Longview.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Stephen Terry.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Linda Terry of Longview; his son, Mark Terry of Longview; grandson, Zachary Terry; brother, Kenneth Terry and wife Betsy of Canton, and their son Phillip and his wife Tracy of Dallas; numerous other nieces and nephews; and his constant canine companion, "Peanut".
