Patsy Worsham's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Patsy Jane Worsham announces her passing on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at her home surrounded by loving family.
Patsy was born on December 17, 1940 in Mineola, Texas to Clifton Columbus Graham and Martha N. Abels Graham. Patsy married her lifelong love- Irvin Eugene Worsham- on August, 23, 1957. After moving from Kilgore, Texas to Palestine, Texas, Patsy went to work for Verda’s Flowers in 1967. What started as a hobby at the flower shop, eventually led to owning and operating Verda’s Flowers for over 40 years. She won many awards for her designs and won the Best Flower Shop of Palestine for 13 consecutive years. Patsy enjoyed bowling, traveling, and participating in her son’s activities such as band and sporting events. Patsy loved playing and spending time with her grandchildren. Patsy had a love for people, and she helped numerous families during their hardships. Patsy loved family get-togethers for holidays and birthdays- she enjoyed cooking a traditional feast of foods, desserts, and candies for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She would work all day and come home to cook and bake nightly for several weeks so that everything would be prepared for the special day. Her love for others and energy could light up a room. Patsy was preceded in death by her mother and father; 2 brothers, Edward Houston Graham and Clifford Graham; her sister-in-law, Nobie Rambo- who was more like a sister and a traveling partner. Patsy is survived by her husband of 67 years, Irvin Eugene Worsham; her sister, Cinda Butcher; and sister-in-law, Ruby Modisette. She leaves behind 2 sons and their loving families- Tony (Carla) Worsham and Tim (Ann) Worsham; three grandchildren- Josh (Ali) Worsham; Nicolas and Bethany Worsham; and two great-grandsons, Ben and Owen Worsham. Patsy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that she loved very much. Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 4995 FM 49 Mineola, TX. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and services begin at 2:00 PM. The family would like to give a very special blessing and thank you to the staff at Enhabit Home Health and Hospice.
