Patsy Jean Coston Swaim
Funeral services for Patsy Jean Coston Swaim, 64, of Franklin, La., will be held at 1 PM Friday, November 22, 2002 at the First Baptist Church of Opelousas, La. with the Rev. Perry Hubbs and Rev. Roland Fontenot officiating. Local services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, November 23, 2002 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Swaim, Daniel Swaim, Steven Swaim, Ronnie Nugent, Gregg Nevill, and Jeff Nevill.
She was a native of Wood County, a past resident of Opeluosas, LA., and resided in Franklin, LA. She passed away on Monday, November 18, 2002 in a New Iberia hospital.
Mrs. Swaim was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of New Iberia, LA. and a homemaker.
A loving wife and mother, Mrs. Swaim was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Eugene and Mildred Sparkman Coston; and two sisters, Lois Massey and Virginia Coston. She is survived by her husband, Douglas R. Swaim of Franklin, LA; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Alina Swaim of Sulfur Springs; Gordon and Glenna Swaim of Baytown; Richard and Donna Swaim of Ft. Worth; Douglas and Marsha Swaim of Kilgore; Donald Ray Swaim of Flipin, Ark; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy Louise Swaim of Riverside, Ca.; Cathy Johnson of LaVerne, Ca.; Debbie and Roy Flanagan of Sulfur Springs; Lorie Sherline and Myron Brown of Ft. Worth; Sandra Kay McGinley of Mineral Wells; five sisters, Edith Joyce Watts of Longview; Velma Nugent of Diana; Pearl Fullen of Mesquite; Glenda Olson of Longview; Peggy Nevill of Longview; 25 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 10 PM Thursday, November 20, 2002 at Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA, and from 10 AM to 2 PM at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
