Patsy Jean Pollard's Obituary
Patsy Jean McKinley Pollard was born May 7, 1945 in Gilmer, Texas and a life long resident of Springhill went home to the Lord April 9, 2009. Patsy was preceded in death by her loving husband Bennie Ray Pollard and mother and father Ruby Lois and Jack McKinley. Patsy was a devoted wife, mother and Mimi. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patti and Geno Pitts; grandsons Tanner and Logan Pitts; brothers and sisters-in-law Ron and Janelle McKinley and Jim and Martha McKinley, brothers-in law and sisters-in-law Johnny and Jane Pollard, James and Nita Pollard, Earl and Elaine Campbell, and Peggy Wall, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She worked many years for the Longview Chamber of Commerce and for the past twenty years as the office manager for Med-Tech Services. Patsy had a thirst for life that couldn?t be quenched and lived it to the fullest. She loved to shop, anywhere from Canton Trade Days to the markets of Mexico. She enjoyed traveling and seeing new and exciting places. Patsy went on many adventures all over the country and especially enjoyed cruising with her family and friends. Patsy was very creative, and liked to make all kinds of crafts, most of which she sold as a vendor at Canton. You never saw Patsy that she wasn?t dressed to the ?T? the shoes matched the dress, the earrings matched the shoes, and of course the necklace had to match the earrings. There will be a hole left in our lives that no one else can fill.
Patsy?s going home celebration will be Monday April 13, at Twelve Noon in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road with her nephew, Reverend Billy Edwards, officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 PM at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Winnsboro, Texas. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 PM. Mimi we love you and miss you.
