Patsy F. Ferguson's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy F. Ferguson, age 80 of Henderson, will be held Saturday March 14, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson, with Dr. Greg Johnson and Rev. Bill Tisdale officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Ferguson died Tuesday March 10, 2009 in a Tyler Hospital.
Patsy Ferguson was born July 9, 1928 to Nathan Edward and Mary Sieber Layne in Smith County, Texas. She graduated from Gaston High School in 1946 and attended business college. Mrs. Ferguson worked as a bookkeeper for many Henderson area business before joining with her husband R.T. Ferguson in their family business.
She was member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson for many years. Patsy was also a member of the Sunday night What-A-Burger crowd who went to the restaurant every Sunday night after church.
She was preceded in death by her husband R.T. Ferguson and her parents Nathan Edward and Mary Sieber Layne, sister Jessie Mae Rawlinson, brothers Aubrey Layne, Clifton Layne, and Barney Layne
She is survived by her sons, Ronald Ferguson and wife Karen of Henderson, Micheal Ferguson and wife Debbie of Rockwall, grandson Jarrod Ferguson and wife Wendi of Henderson, granddaughter Sarah Ferguson of Henderson, sisters Retta Burton and husband Evans of Longview, Lou Crawford and husband Charles of Henderson, brother Edward Layne of Kilgore. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and 2 grand cats Lionus and Max
Pallbearers will be Joe Crawford, A.L Layne, Glen Rawlinson, Tommy Hopkins, Weldon Hopkins, and Edward Ivy. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Crawford.
The family will meet friends at the Funeral Home from 5pm – 7pm Thursday.
